[Detention Officer]


Position Description:
Supervise activities of inmates; transport detainees; maintain safety and security of facility; maintain records in a computer system and files; maintain department vehicles and weapons; conduct searches; stock supplies for department; and book and release inmates.

Qualifications: The successful candidate will be a U.S. Citizen and be a High School graduate or have a G.E.D.; possess a valid Arizona Drivers license; successfully complete the required training and must be able to graduate from the Arizona Correctional Officers Training Academy within one (1) year; ability to pass drug screen, polygraph exam, psychological exam, background investigation; and be 21-years of age, except that a person may attend an academy if he/she will be 21 prior to graduation. Bilingual preferred.

Starting Salary: $26,439 per annum
